Dressing up your walkway is the perfect way to add a colorful pop to your front yard. Whether you’re working with a large pathway or an apartment breezeway, this beginner-level project is a great way to add your favorite perennial flowers and welcome visitors to your home.

Measure out 18 inch-2 feet wide planting beds on either side of the walkway

Spray paint the desired area

Remove turf and Rototill amendments into designated area

Choose design concept: 3-5 different plants repeated or mass planting (all the same species)

Place plants in beds before planting, spacing according to tag recommendations

Repeat desired design concept on both sides of the walkway (3-5 different plants repeated)
